Burrrrr...the Austin 3M Half marathon was icy cold again this year. Diane and Lisa ran the relay while I ran the whole half (what was I thinking?). The Austin race is a bit of a challenge due to the hills which we aren't used to. Houston tends to be pretty flat! In the relay, Lisa ran the first leg and, as usual, finished strong, but somehow managed to get in a spa treatment or makeover or SOMETHING before the race photo at the finish. Look how great she looks in the photo?!!?? That's Lisa in the middle and I'm on the left with the sweaty pigtails and Di with hat-hair is on the right....Diane and I believe Lisa could actually have a faster pace if she didn't carry those hot rollers and tube of lipstick with her! Despite the gruesome race photos and bitter cold, we did have a blast. These are two of my dearest friends and while we work hard together, I never laugh harder then when I'm doing something wildly stupid with those two. Thanks girls for always coming up with something new and challenging and stupid for me to commit to! Love it. Good times.
